By Zoila Palma: Prime Minister of Belize John Briceño has extended St. George’s Caye Day greetings to Belizeans at home and abroad, calling on the nation to reflect on its history and celebrate the identity that has emerged from it.
The Prime Minister encouraged Belizeans to recognize the country’s history in its entirety, including its complexities and the experiences that have shaped the nation over generations.
“As we celebrate St. George’s Caye Day, may we embrace our history in all its complexity and celebrate the Belizean identity forged through it,” Prime Minister Briceño said.
“Happy St. George’s Caye Day, Belize!”
