WCED calls on parents to support Grade 12s in final exam countdown
71 300 full-time NSC candidates will sit for the exams in the province

Western Cape Education Minister Jaco Londt has encouraged parents and guardians to support Grade twelve learners 30 days before the matric examinations.
Seventy one-thousand-300 full-time National Senior Certificate candidates will sit for the exams in the province.
The final paper will be written on November 25th.
Londt says this period is both exciting and stressful for the learners.
“We know how stressful this period can be for learners. We encourage those who are struggling, or adults who are concerned about a learner’s mental health, to reach out to the WCED for help. School staff can seek guidance from our district support teams, and our Safe Schools Hotline can connect learners with help from our sister departments and NGOs.”
