Uganda Cranes to play two friendly games against DR Congo

Uganda Cranes will play two international friendly games against DR Congo in October this year as part of preparations for the 2027 AFCON.

Although not yet confirmed by FUFA, DR Congo head coach Sebastien Desabre on Friday released a squad that will play the two games.

Desabre, formerly a coach with the Uganda Cranes, summoned a squad of 24 players that will feature in the games slated for 2nd and 6th October.

Before that, Uganda will have played two AFCON 2027 Qualifier games against Tunisia (away) and Libya at home.

It should be noted that Uganda despite being one of the co-hosts for the next AFCON edition will still feature in the qualification campaign.

On the other hand, DR Congo will have played two qualifier matches against Equatorial Guinea and Zimbabwe.

The biggest composition of the team summoned for the two friendly games against Uganda is also part of the squad called up for the AFCON Qualifiers in September.
