By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Shyne Barrow’s return to the United States continues to generate attention, this time after a surprise reunion with longtime rival 50 Cent in New York.
The encounter took place at Serafina, where both men were dining separately before being introduced again.
50 Cent later praised Shyne publicly, saying he was impressed by his growth and referring to him as a “world leader.”
The comments stand in sharp contrast to the pair’s history.
Their feud dates back to the early 2000s, when 50 Cent took aim at Shyne while he was incarcerated. Shyne later responded with the track “For the Record,” and the tension continued for years.
Now, the tone is completely different.
Shyne said he views himself as an elder statesman and believes his role should be about bringing people together rather than carrying old grudges.
He said he has offered olive branches to former rivals and described the reunion with 50 Cent as a sign of maturity and evolution within hip hop.
The meeting also comes as Shyne continues to straddle two worlds, music and politics, with his Belizean leadership role now forming a major part of his international identity.
What was once a feud has now turned into a public show of respect.
