By Zoila Palma: Reports indicate that almost 15 Guatemalan vessels were reportedly seen near Sarstoon Island as the Belize Territorial Volunteers carried out their annual September 10 visit.
The Belize Territorial Volunteers traveled to the area with an escort of two Belize Defence Force (BDF) boats and accompaniment from the Belize Coast Guard.
However, following a security assessment, the group agreed to proceed only as far as the BDF Forward Operating Base (FOB).
