My Journey as a Red Carpet Correspondent:Creating Conversations That Celebrate Culture

Entertainment has always been about more than the spotlight; it is about the stories, experiences and people behind the moments audiences remember. 

My journey as a red carpet correspondent began with a passion for storytelling and a desire to create conversations that allow people to see entertainers beyond the headlines.

As a recent graduate of Dillard University with a degree in Film and a minor in Mass Communications, I have used my background in production, media, and digital storytelling to build a career centered around entertainment journalism. Throughout my journey, I have covered major cultural moments, including the 

ESSENCE

Festival of Culture and BET events, while capturing the fashion, energy, and stories that make these experiences unforgettable. I have interviewed entertainers and cultural figures including Loren LoRosa, Danielle Brooks, DJ Envy, Honey Bxby, Ricky Dillard, and Richard Lawson.

My red carpet coverage has also allowed me to connect with talent including Jennaske, Diamond The Body, Lexi Gold, and Kyle Massey, creating conversations that highlight their careers and personalities beyond the spotlight. I have also stepped into fashion media through Fashion Bomb Daily, where I interviewed founder Claire Sulmers about fashion, culture, and storytelling.

Being a correspondent is about more than asking questions; it is about creating authentic connections and giving people a platform to share their stories. As I continue growing in entertainment journalism, my goal is to spotlight voices, celebrate culture, and create conversations that inspire audiences. This journey is only the beginning.
