Goldwynn Resort and Residences brings 81 rooms, apartment-style accommodations and a low-rise boutique experience to one of Nassau’s most famous beaches.
There is another side of Nassau, one that feels residential, sleek and strikingly close to the water. It is on Cable Beach, but removed from the larger resort scene nearby. And it may be the most exciting Nassau resort you have never heard of.
This is Goldwynn Resort and Residences, an 81-room oceanfront retreat with a low-rise profile, a shimmering infinity pool and a collection of studios and suites that feel more like contemporary beachfront apartments.
That residential character defines the hotel. Every accommodation has a kitchen or kitchenette and a private balcony, while the larger one-, two- and three-bedroom suites give couples and families space to settle in for longer Nassau vacations.
The result is a very different kind of Cable Beach hotel.
A More Residential Nassau Stay
Goldwynn’s studios start at a spacious 530 square feet, already larger than many conventional hotel rooms. The resort’s one-bedroom suites reach as much as 1,040 square feet, while the biggest three-bedroom accommodations extend to approximately 1,940 square feet.
Inside, the look is contemporary and polished, with pale woods, clean lines, wide glass doors and residential details. The kitchens and kitchenettes add practical flexibility, whether you want to keep breakfast ingredients in the room, prepare drinks before dinner or spend a full week in Nassau without eating every meal at a restaurant.
For families, the multi-bedroom layouts provide separate living areas and as many as two full bathrooms. For couples, the studios offer the same residential aesthetic in a smaller format.
Right at the Edge of Cable Beach
Goldwynn occupies a particularly attractive section of Cable Beach, fronting the sand at Goodman’s Bay. The hotel’s low-rise architecture keeps the beach close, with the oceanfront infinity pool positioned just steps from the shoreline.
Private cabanas line the pool area, while the beach itself offers the clear turquoise water and broad sweep of sand that have made Cable Beach one of the signature destinations in The Bahamas.
It is an intimate setup for Nassau: 81 rooms, a beachfront pool and a compact layout that makes it easy to move between your suite, the sand and lunch by the water.
Four Places to Eat and Drink
The resort’s signature restaurant is OIA, an oceanfront dining room that combines Mediterranean and Asian influences, along with Peruvian flavors and Japanese techniques.
Amara handles more casual poolside dining, while Atria serves coffee and smoothies in the lobby. Bar Paul is the hotel’s oceanfront lounge, with cocktails, small plates and a setting designed for the transition from afternoon at the beach to dinner.
The collection gives Goldwynn enough variety for a self-contained stay, while its Cable Beach location places the resort close to Nassau’s wider restaurant, casino and nightlife scene.
A Boutique Resort With Hilton Access
Goldwynn is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World and is also available through Hilton’s hotel network, giving Hilton travelers another option in Nassau.
But this is not a conventional branded resort. Its identity comes from the combination of residential accommodations, boutique dimensions and a beachfront setting that feels distinctly different from Nassau’s largest hotels.
There is also Rhizophora Spa, a 24-hour fitness center, weekly beachfront yoga and non-motorized water sports. The hotel is about 15 minutes from Nassau’s airport and approximately 10 minutes from downtown.
Goldwynn gives you immediate access to the best of Nassau while retaining the atmosphere of a smaller beachfront residence.
That is the appeal. You still get Cable Beach. You still get the restaurants, nightlife and easy air access that make Nassau one of the Caribbean’s most convenient destinations. But you experience it from an 81-room resort with apartment-style suites, a striking infinity pool and one of the most residential personalities on the island.
