Egypt’s NTI and Cisco Sign MoU to Train 3,000 Internationally Certified Trainers

Egypt’s National Telecommunication Institute (NTI)  and global technology company Cisco Systems  have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to prepare 3,000 internationally certified trainers under the Cisco Networking Academy programme.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, alongside Minister of Communications and Information Technology Raafat Hindi, Cisco Chairman and CEO Chuck Robbins, and Cisco Executive Vice President and Chief People, Policy and Purpose Officer Francine Katsoudas.

The agreement brings together Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, represented by NTI, and Cisco to strengthen the country’s digital skills development and expand the pool of qualified trainers capable of delivering internationally recognised networking and technology training.

The MoU was signed by Dr Ahmed Khattab, Director of the National Telecommunication Institute, and Mohamed Kamel, General Manager of Cisco Egypt.

Under the partnership, the 3,000 trainers will receive training and certification through the Cisco Networking Academy, equipping them with advanced technical and instructional capabilities that can subsequently be transferred to students and other trainees.

The initiative is expected to contribute to Egypt’s efforts to develop a skilled digital workforce and strengthen national capabilities in networking and information and communications technology.

The partnership also reflects the Egyptian government’s focus on expanding digital skills and preparing more citizens for employment opportunities in the technology sector as the country continues its digital transformation.
