If there’s one thing we love to see after a breakup, it’s a good beauty switch-up, and Serayah may have just given us the ultimate revenge hair.
The Empire alum recently stepped out for a night with her sister-friend, rocking a long, fiery copper-red mane that has us stalking her Instagram page. Her layered tresses cascaded past her shoulders in loose, voluminous waves, while a dramatic side-swept bang framed her gorgeous face. The rich auburn shade was sultry and perfectly suited for fall. Paired with soft glam, bold lashes, and a glossy nude lip, the look gave new-chapter energy.
And, of course, the outfit was giving too. Serayah paired a sheer cream-and-brown printed shirt dress with a coordinating red printed scarf, wrapped around her tiny waist. A neutral bra peeked from underneath the dress, while strappy metallic heels, a delicate gold chain necklace, and a small black handbag completed the sexy look.
Serayah Stepped Out with Sassy, Auburn Hair
The slay comes less than a month after Serayah publicly announced the end of her engagement to rapper Joey Bada$$, with whom she shares a son. In an August 24 statement, the actress and singer alleged “repeated infidelity” throughout their relationship and explained that she had reached a point where choosing herself had become necessary.
Since then, Serayah appears to be keeping her focus forward and looking chic while doing it. Her caption in her “auburn slay” post kept the mood light: “A night out with my sister is always needed. The girls that get it, get it.” And we get it.
Whether the red mane was intentionally meant to be revenge hair or not, the timing couldn’t be better. Because heartbreak may close one chapter, but apparently, it can also usher in a fabulous one as well. Let’s go, Serayah!
