By Breaking Belize News Staff: The Preliminary Inquiry for interdicted police officer Orin Justin Williams, accused of killing his former mother-in-law and her twin brother in Hattieville, has been adjourned until September 18, 2026.

Williams appeared before Senior Magistrate Mannon Dennison in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on Friday, when his PI was scheduled to take place. However, the matter could not proceed because the Magistrate who has carriage of the case was unavailable.

Williams was further remanded to the Belize Central Prison.

The accused was previously provided with 160 pages of disclosure on May 6, followed by an additional 42 pages and 10 DVDs on May 18 as part of the prosecution’s case against him.

Williams is charged with the murders of 57-year-old Paula Belisle, his former mother-in-law, and her twin brother, Paul Esquilliano.

The siblings were shot and killed at around 2:00 p.m. on September 15, 2025, in the American New Site area of Hattieville Village.

Williams is due back in court on September 18 for the rescheduled Preliminary Inquiry.
