By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A 33 year old carpenter of San Narciso Street has been charged with using indecent words following an incident at the People’s Stadium in Orange Walk Town.
Police say officers were on duty at the venue around 5:10pm on Sunday when a sergeant approached the man and informed him that if he had entered through the rear opening, he needed to consult with event organisers to be permitted inside.
According to the report, the man responded aggressively, telling the officer he knew his right to expression.
He was cautioned and asked to leave the area and return after the football match had concluded. He refused.
The sergeant informed him that continued refusal would require calling the police mobile for assistance. The man told officers to call it, and said he would see who would move him.
The mobile was contacted and he was detained.
Wilbert Esquilano, also known as Panco, was escorted to the Orange Walk Police Station and formally charged on Monday morning with using indecent words.
