According to the state airport authority, Airports of Morocco, the kingdom's aviation hubs welcomed a total of 22,282,997 passengers during the first seven months of 2026.

This milestone represents a strong "increase of 8.77% compared with the same period in 2025", revealing the rapid expansion of travel to the North African nation.

The overwhelming majority of this growth is driven by international travelers, who accounted for 19,894,489 passengers, marking an 8.82% increase in global traffic.

Domestic travel also performed well, rising 8.36% to reach 2,388,508 passengers. European visitors continue to be the primary driver of this aviation surge, contributing "16,541,007 travelers, representing an annual increase of 9.29%".

However, other global regions also posted dramatic gains, with South American traffic rising by 34.21%, North American traffic up by 14.54%, and overall African passenger traffic growing by 13.74%.

Casablanca's Mohammed V International Airport remains the busiest hub in the country, recording 6,953,695 passengers in the seven-month period.

It is followed closely by the major tourist hub Marrakech-Menara Airport, which welcomed 6,407,303 travelers, and Agadir-Al Massira Airport with 2,179,857 passengers.

This massive influx of visitors resulted in 164,164 aircraft movements across the nation, an increase of 9.82%. Commercial air freight also saw a parallel rise, jumping 12.61% to reach 66,980.55 tons.

The peak of this travel season was highlighted in July 2026 alone, during which "Moroccan airports welcomed 3,450,846 passengers" in a single month of record-breaking activity.
