REPUBLIC Rules the Billboard 200 Top 10 With 8 Albums, Led by Taylor Swift

REPUBLIC rules the top 10 of the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated Oct. 24) as, for a third time, the label is home to eight of the top 10 titles. Since Luminate’s electronically monitored music data began powering the list on May 25, 1991, REPUBLIC is the only label to have held at least eight of the top 10 titles. The company did it for the first time on the Jan. 13, 2024-dated list, and then again one week later.

In the top 10 of the latest Billboard 200, REPUBLIC — and its group of labels — has the following albums: Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl (on Republic Records) at No. 1, Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem (released via Big Loud/Mercury) at No. 3, Noah Kahan’s The Great Divide (Mercury) at No. 5, Drake’s HABIBTI (OVO Sound/Republic Records) at No. 6, Olivia Dean’s The Art of Loving (Polydor/Island) at No. 7, Kahan’s Stick Season (Mercury) at No. 8, Greta Van Fleet’s Palace for the People (Lava/Republic Records) at No. 9 and Drake’s ICEMAN (OVO Sound/Republic Records) at No. 10.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 2,500 ad-supported or 1,000 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. The new Oct. 24, 2026-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard‘s website on Oct. 20.

Concurrent with REPUBLIC’s achievement, its parent company Universal Music Group can once again lay claim to nine of the top 10 titles. UMG is the only entity — since Luminate’s data began powering the chart in 1991 — to hold at least nine titles in the top 10. In addition to all of the REPUBLIC albums, UMG is also home to the No. 2 title, Olivia Rodrigo’s you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love (Geffen/Interscope Capitol). UMG last had nine of the top 10 on the No. 29, 2025-dated list.
