Protected Areas Conservation trust convenes conservation forum

By Zoila Palma:  The Protected Areas Conservation Trust (PACT) recently convened conservation partners for its “Connect. Reflect. Advance.” forum—a collaborative event designed to strengthen partnerships, celebrate achievements, and chart the future of conservation investment under the Conservation Investment Strategy 2.0.

Hosted in Belize City on July 23 and in Dangriga Town on July 24, the two days of sessions brought together protected area co-managers to exchange experiences, address shared challenges, and maximize the impact of conservation initiatives across Belize.

The “Connect. Reflect. Advance.” forum represented PACT’s commitment to fostering collaboration, transparency, and continuous learning among its partners. By creating space for open dialogue and collective problem-solving, the forum enhanced the effectiveness of ongoing investments while reinforcing a shared commitment to protecting Belize’s rich natural heritage.

PACT says that as it continues rolling out its Conservation Investment Strategy 2.0, the insights and commitments generated during these sessions will help shape future funding streams and strengthen partnerships that deliver meaningful environmental, social, and economic benefits for Belize.
