Kelli Potter Says Shamea Morton Came for Porsha Williams’ Mom Because She Was Provoked

Kelli Potter defended Shamea Morton’s actions in an interview with Carlos King.

“Real Housewives of Atlanta” fans have a lot to say about the latest episodes on social media. Porsha Williams and Shamea Morton will likely never be friendly again after what happened in Scotland. As we reported, Shamea confronted Porsha while the group was at dinner to celebrate Phaedra Parks‘ birthday. Shamea asked Porsha why she no longer wants their daughters to play together. Porsha told Shamea that she doesn’t want her child around someone who doesn’t like her. Shamea then proceeded to accuse Porsha’s mother of trying to sleep with her father. In response, Porsha alleged that Shamea’s mother tried to sleep with her brother-in-law while Momma Diane was dating him.

Cynthia Bailey, Drew Sidora, and Angela Oakley expressed that they felt like Shamea took things too far. They didn’t think it was right for their mothers to be dragged into Shamea and Porsha’s feud. Interestingly, Shamea’s bestie Kelli Potter seems to think that Shamea’s timing was bad, but she was provoked.

During an interview with Carlos King, Kelli was asked if Shamea had told her about the bad blood between Momma Sarah and Momma Diane.

Kelli said Shamea never told her any of this, so she was shocked, like everyone else at the table. When Carlos asked Kelli if she thought Shamea was wrong, Kelli said the setting was wrong.

“I think the setting was wrong. But I also think that…let me say this, was the setting wrong? Yes. But I knew that it was a boiling point, and I think that a lot of people…well, they didn’t see it because it wasn’t shown. Right? I think it was a lot of things that Shamea was under attack about, and I think it was a boiling point to her spilling that information, right?”

She added, “Because if you look back on it, Porsha said, I knew you were going to say that. Well, how did you know you were gonna say that? ‘Cause did you poke her enough to say it? And that’s what made me think like, oh, so they basically wanted to poke her enough for her to say supposedly what she heard she was going to say. That’s the part that I didn’t like.”
