How Amber Baylor and Kandace Parks Are Redefining What Wellness Looks Like for Today’s Woman
Wellness is having a moment but not in the way we once knew it.
Gone are the days when taking care of yourself was defined solely by counting calories, hitting the gym, or squeezing a workout into an already overwhelming schedule. Today, wellness is evolving into something much more personal. It is about movement and mental well-being. It is about community, rest, beauty, connection and creating a life that feels just as good as it looks.
For Driven to Wellness co-founders Amber Baylor and Kandace Parks, that evolution represents an opportunity to completely reimagine the way women experience self-care. Their message is refreshingly simple: wellness should not feel like work. Instead, it can be beautiful. Social. Intentional. Luxurious. And, perhaps most importantly, enjoyable.

This September, Driven to Wellness is putting that philosophy into motion through an unexpected partnership with Jaguar Land Rover Central Houston, creating an elevated Pilates and lifestyle experience designed specifically for women.
On Saturday, September 19, 2026, the worlds of fitness, wellness and luxury will come together in Houston for an experience that stretches far beyond the traditional exercise class.
Women are constantly being encouraged to do more.
Build the career. Grow the business. Take care of the family. Maintain relationships. Stay connected. Stay productive. Stay healthy.
And somewhere between answering emails, managing responsibilities and showing up for everyone else, taking care of yourself can become yet another task on the checklist. Driven to Wellness is challenging that idea.
Baylor and Parks created the brand around intentional experiences that allow women to pause, reconnect with themselves, move their bodies and connect with other women without feeling like wellness requires perfection.
Sometimes wellness is a great workout.
Sometimes it is spending an hour laughing with friends.
Sometimes it is eating something nourishing, taking a walk, enjoying a beauty ritual or simply giving yourself permission to disconnect.
There is no single formula.
“We wanted to create an experience that speaks to the woman who is ambitious, busy, constantly giving, and still wants to make space for herself,” Baylor says.
That philosophy is particularly important in a culture that can sometimes turn wellness into another performance.
Driven to Wellness offers an alternative. Not perfection. Not pressure. Presence.
More Than Pilates
Pilates may be the centerpiece of the September experience, but the bigger intention is connection.
Women from across Houston will have an opportunity to step away from the responsibilities of everyday life and enter an environment centered around movement, music, community and elevated lifestyle experiences.
Some attendees may already have Pilates incorporated into their wellness routines.
Others may be stepping onto a mat for the very first time. Either way, the message waiting for them is the same: You deserve to make yourself a priority.

“Wellness doesn’t have to look one particular way,” Baylor says. “It can be powerful, social, beautiful, luxurious, and fun.”
That perspective reflects a larger shift taking place within the wellness industry.
More women are moving away from restrictive ideas about health and embracing approaches that consider the whole person.
How do I feel?
Am I rested?
Am I connected?
Am I creating moments of joy?
Do the habits I call “healthy” actually contribute to the life I want to live?
Those questions are changing the conversation.
At first glance, Pilates and Land Rover might appear to occupy completely different worlds.
Look closer, however, and the collaboration makes sense.
Both speak to lifestyle.
The partnership allows Driven to Wellness to place health and self-care inside a setting associated with sophistication, performance and elevated living.
For the modern woman, wellness does not necessarily have to exist separately from fashion, travel, beauty, business or luxury.
They can coexist.

Taking care of yourself does not require abandoning the lifestyle you enjoy. Instead, wellness can become part of that lifestyle.
“Driven to Wellness is bigger than one Pilates class,” Parks says. “We are creating a lifestyle experience and a community. We want women to walk into the room and immediately feel that this space was created with them in mind.”
That sense of belonging could ultimately become one of the brand’s greatest strengths.
Because while wellness may begin with the individual, maintaining it is often easier when community is involved.
There is something different about moving alongside other women, exchanging energy, creating friendships and realizing that prioritizing yourself does not have to be a solitary experience.
Houston’s Evolving Wellness Culture
Houston is an especially fitting home for that conversation.
The city blends entrepreneurship, culture, luxury and an increasingly diverse wellness community, creating room for new experiences that move beyond traditional gyms and studios.
Driven to Wellness is tapping into that energy by positioning self-care not simply as something women should do, but as something they should experience.
And that distinction matters.
Wellness does not always require pushing harder.
Sometimes the healthier decision is slowing down.
Sometimes progress looks like movement.
Sometimes it looks like stillness.
Sometimes self-care is discipline, and sometimes it is indulgence.
The goal is learning to recognize what your body, mind and life need and giving yourself permission to respond.
That may ultimately be the deeper message behind Driven to Wellness.
Women do not need another standard they have to live up to.
They need spaces where they can simply show up. Move. Connect. Reset. And remember themselves.
Because perhaps the next chapter of wellness is not about constantly trying to become more.
Perhaps it is about becoming more intentional with the life you already have.
Driven to Wellness + Land Rover Pilates takes place Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Land Rover Central Houston.
