By Zoila Palma: The Belize Police Department concluded the 27th Annual National Police Youth Cadet Corps Summer Camp 2026 in Dangriga.
The youth cadet corps summer camp was a transformative week-long program that brought together 279 cadet members and 80 police and civilian instructors from across the country, including the Cayes.
The camp was held at Ecumenical High School Campus in Dangriga Town, from Saturday, July 25, to Saturday, August 1.
The camp embodied this year’s theme, “Command with Honor, Inspire Action, Teaching Young Minds for a Successful Tomorrow.”
The official featured addresses by Commissioner of Police Dr. Richard Rosado; Sr. Supt. Gerald Jones; Supt. Elroy Carcamo (Campground Commander); and other distinguished officials.
Sponsors and cadets received certificates of participation and appreciation, followed by a ceremonial march through the principal streets of Dangriga Town accompanied by the Belize Police Department Marching Band.
The Belize Police Department reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to strengthening the National Police Youth Cadet Corps and investing in the nation’s greatest resource—its youth.
