POLICE deployed under Operation ‘No to Cross Border Crimes’ have arrested a 35-year-old man for unlawful possession of unregistered medicines.
The suspect, Polite Chimoyo (35), was arrested on September 17, 2026 at around 9pm in Bubi.
Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) national spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the arrest.
“On September 17, 2026 at around 2100hrs, members of ZRP Support Unit deployed under operation ‘No to Cross Border Crimes’, in Bubi, arrested Polite Chimoyo (35) for unlawful possession of unregistered medicines,” said Commissioner Nyathi.
He said the arrest led to the recovery of cartons of Broncleer Cough Syrup and Astra Pain Cough Syrup.
“The recovered medicines have a street value of US$2,000.00,” he said.
The suspect is expected to appear in court soon as investigations continue
