Rwanda and the Sultanate of Oman have signed a Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA), in a move aimed at strengthening economic cooperation and creating a more predictable environment for cross-border investment and trade.
The agreement is expected to support stronger bilateral economic ties by establishing a framework to prevent or reduce the risk of income being taxed in both countries. It also seeks to improve fiscal transparency and provide greater certainty for businesses and investors operating across the two markets.
According to Rwanda’s Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, the agreement will contribute to creating a more supportive environment for investment, trade and private sector development in both countries.
The signing represents another step in the deepening of Rwanda-Oman economic relations, with both governments highlighting sustainable growth and increased economic cooperation as shared priorities.
