President Trump’s Ireland Trip Described As A “Sh-t Show” For Security

The United States is in the middle of an ongoing war with Iran, with no end in sight, causing nothing but grief for Americans, but that didn’t stop Donald Trump from taking an unnecessary and wasteful trip to Ireland that is described as a security “sh-t show.”

Spotted on Crooks and Liars, footage featuring a BBC reporter speaking on security for Orange Mussolini, giggling while calling it a “sh-t show.”

More than likely trying to escape his failing presidency, Trump took a trip to Ireland, where, hilariously, he is also not welcome to visit his crappy and wildly unpopular Trump International Golf Links resort in Doonbeg to attend the Irish Open golf tournament.

The locals didn’t welcome Trump with open arms, instead greeting him with massive protests, so at least it felt just like home to him.

The website notes that, along with the Secret Service, the local Garda police officers were looped in on Trump’s security operation called Operation Far Sunrise.

As with anything involving Trump. things didn’t go according to plan, and we even learned he had a bulletproof golf cart.

Per Crooks and Liars:

According to BBC reporter Enda McClafferty, while he was out and about reporting on Trump’s visit to Ireland, two local cops approached his coworker, who “mistook him for an undercover Garda officer… and started to talk tactics to him!”

The revelation left BBC host Mark Carruthers stifling his giggles.

But the nonsense didn’t stop there.

McClafferty went on to report that “Donald Trump has brought with him an armor-plated golf buggy, Mark, believe it or not and he hopes I think to get around the course today in that.”

Working With Donald Trump Didn’t Leave A Good Impression On Local Law Enforcement

The Irish Mirror further reported that working as part of Trump’s security detail didn’t leave a great impression on them because rank-and-file gardaí had to figure out their childcare situation while doing what was most likely overtime while working to keep Trump safe.

“There are members who were notified to work five nights in Clare and were then told this week that they’re only working the weekend. It means they’ve had to spend a fortune on accommodation and change plans they had made just two weeks ago,” one source revealed.

Another source added, “There’s a use and abuse policy from management and they’re expecting lads to just show up. It’s not good enough and there’s a feeling that people will refuse to turn up, go sick, or even walk if this happens again.”

According to the website, the police presence was so heavy that there were more cops than actual people at the golf tournament.
