Police Seek Another Golden Grove Man in Connection with Freeman’s Village Murder

Police are seeking Golden Grove resident Janiah Antion as they continue to investigate the July 23 shooting death of Swetes businessman Mordecai Eleazer Francis.
Antion, who is believed to be in his early 20s, is wanted in connection with Francis’ murder.
Police said Antion is believed to be armed and dangerous and have warned members of the public not to approach or engage him.
Anyone who sees him is asked to contact the police immediately.
Information can also be provided to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) at 462-3913 or to any police station.
“The Police Administration is appealing for the public’s continued cooperation and urges anyone with information that may assist the investigation to come forward,” a release from Stratcom said.
Police are also urging Antion to surrender at any police station without delay.
Francis, 60, was fatally shot at Risk Takers Supermarket in Freeman’s Village, which he owned.
Police have also arrested and charged 18-year-old Golden Grove resident David McDonald with murder in connection with Francis’ death.
McDonald is expected to appear in court sometime this week.
