Police FC head coach Matia Lule remains upbeat despite his side being held to a 0-0 draw by UPDF FC, highlighting clear tactical progress in the ongoing Uganda Premier League campaign.

The Cops were unable to break the deadlock on the day, but Lule insisted the performance showed significant growth compared to their previous outing, even as finishing proved to be their primary shortcoming.

“We have not won, but you can see that there is a great improvement compared to the previous game we played. We have improved on several aspects, even though we hardly managed to score a goal,” Lule said after the match.

Converting dominance into goals remains the top priority on the training ground. Lule acknowledged the tactical adjustments needed in the final third while reassuring supporters that the squad remains calm and focused.

“We shall go back and sharpen the boys so that we can convert our chances. There is no pressure, even though we know that there is a need to improve. We shall keep our heads high because we know we can do better as a team,” he added.

The result leaves Police FC sitting 7th in the standings with four points collected from their opening three games.

The Cops will look to turn their offensive promise into three points when they take on Lugazi FC on Wednesday, September 16.
