Imani Holloway is a second-year scholarship recipient whose academic journey reflects resilience, purpose, and a growing commitment to helping others. After transferring from UW-Parkside to the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee for the spring semester, Imani plans to continue at UWM for the next three years as she builds a strong foundation for her future.
Recently, Imani made the thoughtful decision to switch her major to Psychology, a field that aligns closely with her interest in mental health, personal growth, and service. As a member of the Class of 2029, she is approaching this next chapter with curiosity and determination.
This summer, Imani is exploring internship opportunities that will allow her to gain hands-on experience and deepen her understanding of the psychology field. She has also connected with ARC services at UWM, taking proactive steps to access academic support and accommodations that help her thrive while managing health concerns.
Imani is already gaining meaningful experience in the mental health field through her role as an intake coordinator with The Practice MKE, a private, women-led therapy clinic serving women from diverse backgrounds and addressing a wide range of mental health needs. Since beginning the position in January 2026, she has had the opportunity to contribute to a care-centered environment while learning more about the impact of accessible mental health services.
