The Greens suported local people who did not (and do not) want any of the homes on the Central Hill estate to be demolished. This new building is on the site of a similar building which had people living in it, evicted just before Christmas. It was then demolished & another block built on the site, much the same but slightly bigger and uglier. Seems a pretty daft way to create new housing. Not sure what the balance is between the people thrown out of the former (sound) building and the other people now housed in the new building, which I gather is throwing up problems because of poor standards of construction…
