Cast Of Snowfall Celebrates ‘The Drop’ In Los Angeles, Ahead Of September 8th Premiere 

Los Angeles showed up for the premiere celebration of FX’s highly anticipated The Drop: A Snowfall Saga, bringing together the cast, music heavyweights and fans for a day dedicated to the culture that inspired the new series.

Held Saturday, September 5 at Somerville in South Los Angeles, The Drop: Neighborhood Sessions brought the world of Snowfall to life with a community-centered celebration featuring live surprise performances curated by Big Boy, a marketplace of Black-owned businesses curated by Black on the Block, food trucks and a special screening of the first episode.

Cast members (including Simmie Buddy Sims, Gail Bean, Peyton Alex Smith, Isaiah John, Asante Blackk) came out in full force to celebrate the next chapter of the Snowfall story, which follows Wanda Bell and Leon Simmons as they navigate the 1990s and the rise of West Coast rap. The event felt like a true homecoming, bringing together the people and culture that helped shape the world portrayed on screen.

Big Boy kept the surprises coming with two performances that had the crowd buzzing, including unexpected appearances from LA favorites Dom Kennedy and Ty Dolla $ign. Their surprise sets added even more star power to an already packed afternoon and perfectly matched the series’ connection to West Coast hip-hop.

The celebration also extends beyond the premiere, with FX partnering with Randy’s Donuts, Hilltop Coffee + Kitchen, Marathon Burger and The Marathon Clothing on limited-edition menu items and exclusive merchandise inspired by the series. The Drop: A Snowfall Saga premieres Tuesday, September 8 on FX, with episodes also available to stream on Hulu.
