The Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex (BJCC) is set to make history as Protective Stadium hosts its first two-night concert engagement with Usher and Chris Brown’s highly anticipated R&B Tour.

More than 50,000 fans are expected to visit on July 28 and 29, marking another milestone in Protective Stadium’s evolution as a premier live entertainment venue.

Since opening in 2021, Protective Stadium has continued to attract blockbuster concerts, beginning with Garth Brooks’ sold-out performance in 2022 and followed by Chris Brown’s sold-out Breezy Bowl XX in 2025. The R&B Tour continues that momentum, highlighting the growing demand for major stadium concerts in Birmingham.

“We’re excited to welcome another major tour to Birmingham and continue building on the momentum we’ve established at Protective Stadium,” said Tad Snider, CEO of the BJCC. “Every event we host creates opportunities for Birmingham by driving tourism, supporting local businesses, and introducing new visitors to everything our city has to offer.”

As with all events, guests are encouraged to arrive early to allow time for parking, security screening, and entry into the venue. Complimentary Jam Tram service will operate for the R&B Tour between designated parking areas and Protective Stadium. Parking maps, the venue’s clear bag policy, and other event details are available at bjcc.org.
