BACKSTREET Gears Up for Season Three as Blac Box Studios Expands Its Gritty Crime Drama

Family, loyalty, betrayal and revenge continue to collide as BACKSTREET, the independent crime drama from Blac Box Studios, gears up for its highly anticipated third season.

After two seasons of building an interconnected world of complicated relationships, street conflicts, family struggles and dangerous consequences, BACKSTREET is preparing to push its story forward with even more at stake.

At the center of the series is Quinton “Q” Jacobs, a man who grew up in a dysfunctional home but made the decision to pursue a better life. That decision becomes increasingly difficult when his younger brother’s actions lead to their mother’s death. Q is forced into an emotional battle between protecting his brother, following his conscience and giving in to his desire for revenge.

But Q’s journey is only one part of a much larger story.

Dangerous alliances, family rivalries, jealousy and betrayal connect characters whose decisions continually place them on a collision course. Meanwhile, a determined team of detectives follows the trail of criminal activity, uncovering relationships and secrets that threaten to bring everything to the surface.

Throughout its first two seasons, BACKSTREET has also explored broken families, complicated relationships and the different ways people respond to trauma. Some characters fight to keep their families together, while others search for love in unhealthy places or turn to anger, manipulation and violence. Every decision creates another consequence, and every secret has the potential to change someone’s life.

Leading the cast is Tekulve Jackson as Quinton Jacobs, joined by Regas Woods as Clayton Williams, Shermone James as Murcy Jones, also known as Big Murk, and Prescilla Santiago as Lucia Perez. Together, the cast brings the interconnected world of BACKSTREET to life through stories of conflict, loyalty, survival and relationships that are constantly being tested.

Behind the series is the creative team at Blac Box Studios, led by Tekulve Jackson, who serves as Producer, Writer, Director and Editor. Taking on multiple roles throughout the production allows Jackson to maintain the creative vision of the series from the development of its storylines through the final edit.

The production team also includes Theresia Jackson, Director of Media and Marketing, Cinematographer, Co-Writer and Executive Producer, Governor Jamal Mosley of GBG Photography as Cinematographer, Christin Hayes as Cinematographer, and Regas Woods as Assistant Cinematographer and Sound Engineer. Together, the team continues to build BACKSTREET as an independent production driven by character development, suspense and storytelling.

More than a traditional street drama, BACKSTREETexamines what happens when love and loyalty are tested by grief, jealousy, crime and survival. The consequences of the streets do not remain outside. They follow these characters into their homes, families, friendships and relationships.

With two seasons establishing the characters and their complicated world, Season 3 represents the next chapter for BACKSTREET.

Unresolved conflicts, evolving relationships and buried secrets leave plenty of room for the stakes to rise as Blac Box Studios prepares audiences for what comes next.

On BACKSTREET, every decision has a consequence, every relationship can be tested, and loyalty always comes at a price.
