Last weekend in the Rocky Mountains of Aspen, Moncler debuted its Moncler Grenoble Fall/Winter 26 collection. With a snow-covered, wintery runway and a full moon illuminating the >Diane Kendal, whose inspiration stemmed from the Moncler brand as a whole.

I got to work on achieving the “gorgeous, luminous, very fresh skin” Kendal had envisioned. I began by deeply hydrating the skin and lips using products like Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré, Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Glow Serum, and Neutrogena Hydro Boost Lip Balm; essential prep for the hours of dry cold air the models would endure. I used a light-to-medium coverage foundation for a buildable, skin-like finish, adding concealer only where extra coverage was needed. The look was elevated with a softly sculpted contour and cream blush on the cheeks, customized in shades to complement the diverse skin tones of the models.
Proper grooming was also a key element of the fresh and effortless look. As Kendal describes it, it was about “brushing brows and >Eugene Souleiman, it was all about “doing something that felt raw” but with “an element of glamour to it.” With a location so strong and as beautiful as Aspen, it was important for Souleiman to create a look that encompassed just that, without “a cosmetic feel that looked like it had been >Oribe, the team’s main goal was to protect the hair against the cold weather and frizz. The hair was then diffused to create what Souleiman describes as a “wavy texture that looked like it had been >Yeye Egunjobi describes it, “liquid gold.” The lightweight strengthening oil is “deeply nourishing without weighing down the hair,” creating the “perfect polished but natural finish,” says Egunjobi.

The intensity of the already busy and bustling tent grew as the show time came closer and each look was meticulously checked by the stylist. Once every look was perfected from head-to-toe, the models were escorted up the snowy path and through the woods to begin the show. As the models hit the runway, a blend of light from the brightly lit full moon to the snow filled runway further illuminated the glowing skin while the touch of Ben Nye Ice highlighted the top of the cheekbones perfectly.
Effortlessly blowing in the wind, the diverse natural textures of hair complimented the rugged winter elements. The hair and makeup felt cohesive with the collection, making every look feel truly lived in and conducive to the environment. All-in-all? A reminder that winter isn’t so bad with the perfect glam and outfit.
