Vivek Ramaswamy Tried To Look Like A Regular Dude Swinging A Bat & Got Ruthlessly Mocked
Ramaswamy’s campaign wanted wholesome Americana. The awkward batting-cage video went viral for all the wrong reasons before being deleted.

Ohio Gubernatorial Candidate Vivek Ramaswamy just can’t stop being a lame.
The political video ad was supposed to be a quirky video of the possible next Governor of Ohio talking about the 10 things he wanted to do should he win the election in between swings at a batting caged, Yahoo News reports.
Instead the video of his awkward batting swing got him clowned so thoroughly that he was forced to delete the video in shame. The brutal mocking began on social media shortly after it was shared because Ramasway looked like a duckling out of water who’d never swung a bat in his entire life.
Which is hilarious when you consider that the point of the video was to make the Governor candidate look like a regular fellow just taking a few swings at his neighborhood batting cage.
The wildest part is that Ramaswamy is actually athletic as he was a competitive tennis player. But his campaign couldn’t use images of him playing tennis because it doesn’t harken back to the kind of America he’s trying to appeal to. Ramaswamy is a staunch Republican and those folks love them some images of yesteryear and American iconography like apple pies, and milk in glass bottles and baseball. And the proof of that sentiment lies in Ramaswamy own political campaign to “Revive the American Dream in Ohio.”
“The choice of baseball was not incidental,” wrote Bonnie Lucas for TiffinOhio.net. “Ramaswamy’s campaign has increasingly presented the wealthy biotech entrepreneur through familiar images of sports, family, football and everyday American life as it works to turn a former presidential candidate and Wall Street-connected businessman into a relatable candidate for Ohio governor.”
Unfortunately, his campaign forgot to ask Ramaswamy if he’d ever swung a bat in his entire life. And the internet was not kind.
