By Breaking Belize News Staff: Police are investigating a shooting in Dangriga Town that left two 19-year-old men hospitalized on Saturday night.
Police say that at approximately 8:30 p.m. on August 8, officers visited the Southern Regional Hospital after receiving reports of a shooting and found Kevon Higinio and Jim Mendez, both of Dangriga, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Initial investigations indicate that Higinio had just left an establishment when he was approached by two male persons who opened fire in their direction, injuring both Higinio and Mendez.
Both men were listed in stable condition and remained hospitalized under observation.
Police investigations into the shooting continue. The incident and identities of the two injured men have also been reported by local media.
