The Forest Department continues to refine its 2026-2030 Action Plan

By Zoila Palma: The Forest Department continues to make progress on its Institutional Review and its 2026-2030 Action Plan.

On August 6, 2026, the department’s staff met to review and refine its mission, vision and the ethos that staff, as public servants, must uphold to the people of Belize.

The meeting is intended to strengthen the Forest Department’s capacity to respond to new challenges.

The workshops are being technically facilitated by German Cooperation (BMZ-GIZ) through the GIZ Centroamérica Selva Maya Programme.

The Forest Department expressed appreciation to the programme for its technical support and assistance throughout the process.
