Pigeon Island National Landmark closed for September renovations

Pigeon Island National Landmark is temporarily closed to the public for September 2026 to allow for renovations and other preparations.

According to a public notice, the month-long closure will allow for annual renovations, staff training and recruitment at the popular historical and recreational site.

During September, residents and visitors will not be able to access the landmark.

Pigeon Island National Landmark is expected to reopen to the public on Thursday, October 1, 2026, once the scheduled work and preparations are finished.

Management has thanked the public for understanding and looks forward to welcoming visitors back when the attraction reopens.
