MTN Ghana has entered into a new partnership with the University of Ghana aimed at promoting innovation, developing talent and creating practical solutions to real-world challenges.
The partnership was formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), alongside the launch of a hackathon designed to give students and emerging innovators a platform to develop technology-driven solutions to pressing challenges.
MTN Ghana said the collaboration reflects its commitment to supporting talent development and strengthening Ghana’s digital innovation ecosystem. Through the partnership, the company and the university will create opportunities for young people to turn ideas and technical skills into solutions with real-world impact.
The hackathon is expected to provide participants with an environment to experiment, collaborate and develop practical solutions, while encouraging problem-solving and entrepreneurship among the next generation of technology innovators.
MTN Ghana said the partnership forms part of its broader efforts to empower young people and contribute to the country’s digital future by connecting education, technology and industry.
The company added that its collaboration with the University of Ghana will help create platforms where innovative ideas can move beyond concepts and be developed into solutions capable of addressing real societal and economic challenges.
