By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): An 18 year old labourer sustained two fractures to his left foot after his motorcycle collided with an SUV in Independence Village on Saturday.
Police say the rider was travelling along Fadden Avenue from the direction of Triangular Park toward Big Creek Road on a black motorcycle.
On reaching a tire shop along the route, a black 2013 Ford Edge SUV drove onto Fadden Avenue. The motorcycle collided with the driver and passenger doors of the vehicle.
The rider, Melvin Rene Arteaga of the Newsite Area, received two fractures to his left foot. The motorcycle sustained a broken left handle.
The SUV driver, 35 year old Barry Wayne Zuniga, complained of pain to his left upper ribs. His vehicle received dents to the left driver and passenger doors.
All parties were issued with medico legal forms.
Arteaga was transported to Belize Health Care Partners for further medical attention.
Investigations continue.
