By Zoila Palma: Osmond Martinez, Minister of State in the Ministry of Economic Transformation, and his delegation are visiting Taiwan from July 27 to 31, 2026.
The Belize delegation met with Jonathan Shih-Hung Liu, Country Representative of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) Country Office in Taipei.
Discussions focused on continued collaboration, technical assistance, and financing for projects related to hospitals, municipal climate-resilient initiatives, and the sugar sector.
Minister Martinez was accompanied by Carlos Pol, CEO of the Ministry of Economic Transformation, and Katherine Meighan, Belize’s Ambassador to Taiwan.
