Kitara FC has confirmed letting go of eight players as the team prepares for the new season. The club revealed the departures on Friday in a story published on the club website.
“Kitara FC have confirmed the departure of eight players as the club continues reshaping its squad for the new season. Headlining the exits is defensive midfielder Yunus Sibira, who has completed a move to KCCA FC.” Reads part of the statement.
Muhammad Shaban who was at the club for only five months has been released mutual consent. He only managed to score one goal for the Royals.
Goalkeepers James Alitho and Aziz Saleh join Frank Kasumba, Eric Tumwine, Sadiq Ssekyembe and Amir Kakomo on the list of the players that have been released.
On the other hand, Kitara has so far unveiled four new signings, including Martin Kizza, Diego Minsi Ssemugera, Jackson Ssembatya and Ghanaian defender Bonny Christopher.
Kitara is preparing to represent the country in the CAF Confederation Cup.
