Hip-Hop Harmony, an NYC Department of Education Vendor-Approved Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Program (FAMIS #EDW005530), is officially recruiting instructors throughout the Metro-New York area for the Fall 2026 through Spring 2027 school year (September 2026 – June 2027). This is more than a teaching opportunity. It is a chance to become part of a movement that is transforming school communities through culture, creativity, restorative practices, and meaningful student engagement. For years, Hip-Hop Harmony has demonstrated how Hip-Hop culture can be used as an educational tool to strengthen social-emotional learning, build healthy relationships, improve school climate, and inspire students to believe in their own potential. Our instructors help young people find their voices while developing confidence, leadership, accountability, communication skills, and emotional resilience. We’re Looking for Leaders, Not Just Instructors The ideal Hip-Hop Harmony instructor is someone who understands that education extends beyond textbooks. Qualified candidates should possess: Experience working with students from Pre-K through Grade 12. Training or experience in restorative practices. Strong classroom management, facilitation, and communication skills. A genuine passion for youth development, Hip-Hop culture, and education. The ability to build positive relationships while promoting equity, inclusion, and student success. Leadership, creativity, teamwork, and a commitment to empowering the next generation.
