Dr Robins raises concern over us entry-ban list

Political commentator Dr Radcliffe Robins says no European country appears on a proposed United States entry-ban list that includes Antigua and Barbuda among 43 mostly Black nations.

Dr Robins made the comments, Monday, during Observer Radio’s Connecting with Dave Lester Payne, as they discussed the Third World Immigration Moratorium Act which was introduced by Congresswoman Nancy Mace of South Carolina.

He pointed out that the list – which also includes the Caribbean countries: Cuba, Dominica and Haiti – contains no European nations.

“Did you hear about a European country? These are major Black countries. But the whole point is, you know, when they say make America great again, that means make America white again. Every single thing that is happening in the United States right now is to expel from the United States people of color,” Dr Robins said.

He linked the listing to ongoing negotiations between Antigua and Barbuda and the United States over visas and the resettlement of deportees.

“It shows again what the pork barrel is doing. And when they know, what I mean by the pork barrel, and I’m glad you brought this up, the visa is on the pork barrel. So the pork barrel will take your land and give you a visa,” he said.

Antigua and Barbuda’s Ambassador to the USA, Sir Ronald Sanders, has already written to Congresswoman Mace disputing facts used to justify the bill, including a claim that Antigua and Barbuda’s Citizenship by Investment Programme has never required residency.
