By Jose Luis Cruz: A Belize City man was murdered in a triple shooting that occurred on Saturday night in Unitedville Village in the Cayo District. The incident occurred near a bus stop in the village in the same vicinity that a policeman in uniform was also shot and killed.
A group of young men had gone to do an errand in the village when they were targeted by the gunman(men). Three (3) of the men received shooting injuries and were rushed to the Western Regional Hospital in Belmopan for treatment.
One of the shooting victims has succumbed to his injuries while the other two (2) are receiving treatment. The victim who died is a resident of Banak Street in Belize City.
This murder is the latest in a recent spike of shootings and murder that has occurred in Unitedville in the last two (2) years.
