Benny’s launches BBucks Classroom Makeover with matching donations for teachers

By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP):  Teachers preparing their classrooms for the new school year have a new ally, and a new way to rally their communities. Benny’s has launched its BBucks Classroom Makeover program, with applications open as of August 6.

The mechanism is what sets the initiative apart. Teachers apply and build a classroom wishlist, then invite their community, parents, friends, alumni, family members and businesses, to contribute BBucks toward it. Once a classroom’s contributions reach at least 50 percent of its wishlist value, Benny’s matches the donations, effectively doubling the community’s effort and pushing the makeover across the finish line.

The design turns classroom improvement into a shared project rather than a lottery. A teacher with an engaged community of past students and parents can drive their own success, and every contribution is a vote of confidence in that classroom.

The timing serves the season, with rooms being readied across the country ahead of September’s reopening.
