Bafana Bafana news: Mosimane rejects R5 million-a-year salary
Pitso Mosimane is the favourite to become the next Bafana Bafana head coach after he was endorsed by SAFA's NEC.

Pitso Mosimane has reportedly rejected a R5 million-a-year salary offered to him by the South African Football Association (SAFA) to coach Bafana Bafana.
On Saturday, SAFA released a statement saying the National Executive Committee (NEC) had put forward Mosimane’s name for the job.
President Dr Danny Jordaan said in the statement that there were still some loose ends to be tied before an official announcement could be made.

BAFANA BAFANA NEWS: MOSIMANE SAYS NO TO R5 MILLION-A-YEAR SALARY
Now, according to Sunday World, SAFA tabled a R5 million per year salary, but Mosimane rejected it with no hesitation.
This means Mosimane would have earned just over R460 000 every month with for the next 12 months.
Former Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos was earning R1.4 million per month during his tenure as the head coach.
And Mosimane somehow felt disrespected by the offer tabled by the association, especially given his achievements in football.

AFCON QUALIFIERS ON THE HORIZON
The 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers are on the horizon, and Bafana Bafana need a new coach as soon as possible.
The first two matches of the qualifiers will be played between 23 and 29 September, and that is just over a month to go.
Bafana Bafana are in Group D alongside co-hosts Kenya, Guinea and Eritrea, and they are strong favourites to qualify for the continental showpiece in East Africa.
