In the latest episode of “Raising Kanan,” Marvin and Raq feel the pressure. Here is the recap for “Penultimate Means Second to Last.”

Time is running out for Raq and Marvin.

Stefano meets with Hafiz to give his condolences on Raq putting down his right-hand man. He wants Raq and Marvin to pay, and Stefano promises he will do this now that Pino will have no reason to back Raq. Her drug business is officially dead.

Flossie meets with Raq and Marvin. She tells them about how Kanan tried to kill her and admitted he was the one who spiked the drugs. Since Raq knew and didn’t tell Flossie, their deal is done. After Raq says she can fix it, Flossie says Raq isn’t dead because of her respect for Marvin. She hugs Marvin goodbye.

Jarita confronts Kanan about trying to kill Flossie. She warns him that Flossie is dangerous and kills people. So Kanan shouldn’t have used her to try to take out Flossie.

Jarita feels like Kanan just wanted to use her. Their relationship is done. He calls her a ***** and says he was only pretending to care about her anyway.

Garcia keeps Baptiste’s secret.

Marvin calls Raq out for being “choosy” about who they kill when Kanan is still alive. Raq says Kanan is too young to understand what he’s doing. Marvin reminds Raq that she doesn’t have an issue with killing other people’s kids. And he will drop Kanan if he gets the opportunity.

Raq asks Marvin if he really wants to kill his own nephew. He says he’s too deep now but he doesn’t even want to be in the drug game anymore. Regardless, Raq tells Marvin that he’d protect Juke if she was in Kanan’s shoes.

Pops and Snap want Raq and Marvin dead now that Pino is done protecting them. They think it is time for Kanan to prove his loyalty and take out Marvin.

Detective Garcia is called into a meeting to discuss his last conversation with Captain Baptiste since he committed suicide. His higher-ups say that Baptiste was a dirty cop they were investigating.

Garcia feigns offense and says Garcia was a stand-up guy who looked out for him.

Kanan finds out who killed Famous.

Jukebox tells Kanan that it was Snaps and Pop with killed Famous. He coldly tells her that Famous deserved to lose his life if he was snitching. Jukebox is left in disgust.

Pino tells Raq that he is done with her. She has no drugs to sell and no way to sell the drugs now that Flossie backed away. He lets Raq know that death is knocking.

Detective Garcia tells Marvin and Juke that Amber told the cops that the suspect who was seen leaving the house was a Black man. Neighbors are also confident that they can ID Marvin. So it’s not looking good.

As far as he is concerned, he is done with Marvin and Juke. He will stay out of their way if they stay out of his.

The Feds tell Raq they can charge her with money laundering since the criminal the Joint Terrorism Task Force was investigating confirmed she sold her strip mall to him recently. Raq denies ever meeting this man. She just signed the papers and took the check.

They tell Raq they know she met with Stefano and Pino multiple times. If she tells them what she knows about both men, they can make a deal. Raq refuses and reminds them that they don’t have a case against her as of yet.

Marvin fails to take out Breeze.

Breeze tells Kanan that Snaps and Pop want him to prove his loyalty by killing Marvin. Kanan points out that the people behind Famous’ deaths are making demands but he doesn’t care. He will take out Marvin for himself. Not for anyone else.

Raq’s lawyer tells her that her future looks dire because the feds have a paper trail. Not to mention, the man they were investigating said Raq agreed to a money laundering scheme with him.

Kanan asks Snaps and Pop why they didn’t tell him they killed Famous. They say he was fed incorrect information, and now they are questioning his loyalty. Putting down Marvin is the way he needs to prove himself.

Marvin has some shooters go after Breeze. He pulls off after Breeze takes them all out and notices Marvin in a car watching.

Snaps and Pop fire Breeze from their organization after recent arrests uncovered his side pill business. He takes offense to them saying he will be replaced.

Jukebox gets justice.

Raq attempts to visit Pernessa’s mother to find Unique, but she is not allowed in and given a warning to never return unless she wants to be greeted by bullets. Unique and Pernessa left New York and they are never coming back, so Raq can’t hurt them.

Jukebox confronts Snaps and Pops about killing Famous. She kills them after they deny having a hand in his death. She later tells Raq that she knows that she didn’t kill Famous.

Marvin goes to the church to hand the pastor a briefcase that contains items he wants Juke to have in the event of his demise. After the pastor leaves momentarily to take the cash Marvin handed him to someone to process it, Kanan comes in with his gun.

Marvin realizes that Kanan is there to kill him. He takes one last puff from his cigarette and tells Kanan he will die alone before Kanan shoots him repeatedly.
