By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Orange Walk police have recovered more than a kilogram of suspected cannabis at a dump site in Orange Walk Town.
Police say that around 5:30pm on Thursday, October 1, Special Branch received information about a man carrying a black bag toward the end of Smith Sonia Street, near the dump site, where he approached an old green pickup cabin.
Orange Walk GI3 officers went to the area and searched. Inside the old pickup cabin, they found a black plastic bag.
It contained a large sealed package, a smaller sealed package and a green plastic bag holding 11 small zip lock bags, all filled with suspected cannabis.
The drugs weighed a total of 1,104 grams. No one was in the area at the time, and the cannabis was recorded as found property.
