KZN Public Works gets first clean audit

The KwaZulu-Natal Public Works and Infrastructure Department has achieved its first-ever clean audit.

The department has attributed the achievement to strict financial controls, improved accountability and reforms introduced by MEC Martin Meyer.

Departmental spokesperson Steve Bhengu says the clean audit will boost investor confidence.

Bhengu says, “Securing this clean audit for the very first time translates into a commitment to becoming an evolved entity and one that can be seen as a trustworthy partner for the private sector, investors, developers and major financial institutions to effectively collaborate with for the aim of unlocking endless infrastructure development potential and growth potential.”
