International break has come at a right time for KCCA – Brian Ssenyondo

The international break couldn’t have come at a better time than now for KCCA according to head coach Brian Ssenyondo.

KCCA have had a false start to the season winning just once in four matches in which they have also scored one goal – in the 1-0 win over league debutants Kataka on Wednesday.

“It was long overdue since we last won a game or scored a goal,” a relieved Ssenyondo told Kawowo Sports.

“It is a relief to the boys because they needed this win so badly and that vital goal and thankfully, we scored and got all three points,” he added.

Ssenyondo believes his side have been better in all matches played so far but it is the results that have not been coming although he never panicked since the team was creating scoring opportunities.

“We have been the better team in all the matches we have played only that we haven’t been winning and sadly, football is judged by results but we create a lot of chances and our unbecoming has always been failure to convert the chances,” he explained.

On the upcoming international break that stretches till October, the ex-Kitara, Synergy and Mbarara City coach described as it as a good intervention.

“I think the international break has come at a good time for us because it helps us go back and reshape, organize, panel beat a few things and we come back stronger.”

KCCA currently occupy 10^th place on the 18-team table and return to action against URA immediately after the international break on October 9 at Hamz stadium, Nakivubo.
