By Zoila Palma: Minister of Health and Wellness Kevin Bernard says that past administrations failed to give energy crisis the attention it needed to solve the issues Belize is facing now.
“You know this energy crisis I don’t like to go back to the past because people will say Oh you are blaming the UDP but you have to lay the blame where it is. If there was serious attention made to address the energy issue way back then, we would not have had all of these problems,” Bernard told 7News Belize.
In addition, Minister Bernard said that the Government of Belize is making significant attempts and strides to ensuring that they address these problems.
“The solar project that will be coming on board pretty soon. I don’t know all the details in terms of the energy project but I know that there is great steps being taken and we should we are almost there where we will also see it coming into play,” Bernard said.
