City Boy Movement Applauds Abiodun, Backs Yayi as APC Consensus Candidate

A socio-political group, City Boy Movement in Ogun West has commended the state Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for what it described as a historic political move in breaking the long-standing succession jinx in the state through the emergence of a consensus candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The group, in a statement signed by its coordinator, Ayodeji Idowu, hailed Governor Abiodun’s leadership style, noting that his decision reflects political maturity and a strong commitment to stability and continuity in Ogun State.

It added that the emergence of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola as the party’s consensus candidate signals a deliberate effort to sustain good governance and drive further development.

The group also congratulated Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, highlighting his record in infrastructure development and his reputation for executing people-oriented projects.

According to the statement, his grassroots connection and focus on socio-economic growth make him well-positioned for the task ahead.

The City Boy Movement noted that the development reflects the confidence reposed in Adeola’s leadership and aligns with the aspirations of residents for responsive and result-driven governance.

While reaffirming its commitment, the group pledged total support to both the governor and the APC candidate, assuring that it would mobilise its grassroots structures to secure victory in the forthcoming election.
