The skin care industry has thousands of companies stocking shelves in stores across America, and one Black-owned Atlanta-based brand, Just for Teens, is expanding its reach.

Just for Teens will be available in nearly 10,000 Dollar General stores by September, according to Brian Reynolds, an Atlanta native and the company’s owner. Just for Teens is currently in over 8,000 Dollar General stores. That’s a 50% growth from the 4,000 stores the products were in back in September 2025.

There are more than 1,130 Dollar General stores in Georgia. The Peach State has the second-largest piece of the company’s pie. Only Texas, with over 1,900 locations, has more. Dollar General (NYSE: DG) is worth just over $26 billion, according to data from CompaniesMarketCap.com

Reynolds participated in Dollar General’s small-business program to grow his business and expand its availability. “I saw that there was an opportunity and a market, so I took advantage of it,” Reynolds said.

He also took part in the small business program at the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs (RICE). “All of those different programs helped us,” Reynolds said.

Reynolds called the partnership with Dollar General a great way to scale and grow a small business. Two of his products are in the stores now, and the scented pimple patches will be in stores in September.

Just for Teens sells skin care products, facial wash, moisturizers, mineral creams, pimple patches, sun patches, and bite patches. The company was founded by Reynolds in 2020, but grew most over the past year and a half as its products entered supermarkets and department stores like Dollar General. The brand has grown exponentially since then, Reynolds says.

“It’s fascinating to go into random stores in small towns and see your products on shelves,” Reynolds said. He shared a story about a friend who saw Just for Teens pimple patches at a Dollar General outside of St. Louis, Missouri. “We’re growing really quickly,” he said.

There are plans to continue the relationship with Dollar General past the 16,000-store mark.
