Airtel Money School Pay Expands Digital Fee Payments to 800+ Schools in Tanzania

Airtel Tanzania  is expanding the adoption of digital school fee payments in Tanzania through its Airtel Money School Pay platform, with more than 800 schools across 16 regions now using the service.

The platform enables parents to pay school fees through their mobile phones, while schools benefit from secure digital transactions, real-time payment records and direct transfers to their bank accounts.

Airtel Tanzania said the service is helping schools improve the efficiency and transparency of fee collection while reducing reliance on traditional payment methods.

The company has set a target of connecting 1,000 schools annually to Airtel Money School Pay as it seeks to expand digital payments across Tanzania’s education sector.

The initiative forms part of the broader push to increase the use of mobile financial services for everyday transactions, making school fee payments more convenient for families and easier for institutions to manage.
