21st Belize City bash to bring Independence Day celebrations to Digi Park

By Zoila Palma:  Belize City is gearing up for a major Independence Day celebration as the Independence Belize City Bash is set to take place on Monday, September 21, at Digi Park.

The annual event, presented by the Belize City Council, will offer a full afternoon of entertainment, food, drinks, games and family-friendly activities as Belize celebrates its 45th year of independence.

The celebration will run from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will feature free entry for the public.

Entertainment will include performances by Supa G, T.R. Shine, Newani Martinez & Friends, TLC Band, Wappag G, Echo Middleton, Kenny Gladden & The New Creation Band, C. Wills, Terry Di Brukdown Gyal, Nello Player and The Red Band. The event will also feature food and refreshments, games and live entertainment throughout the afternoon.

The Belize City Bash forms part of the country’s Belize @ 45 Independence celebrations and is being supported by the National Celebrations Commission and the National Institute of Culture and History (NICH).

With free admission and a full lineup of entertainment, the 21st Belize City Bash is expected to provide residents with an opportunity to come together and celebrate Belizean music, culture and community.
